Friends Committee on National Legislation Information Session
- 1:00 PM
Tuesday Oct 23, 2018
Ruth Stricker Dayton Campus Center 207
Emmet Hollingshead ‘18 will be on campus to talk about his work with the Friends Committee on National Legislation, a Quaker lobbying organization located in Washington, D.C.
Within the coming months they will be accepting applications for paid internships in DC, year-long post-grad fellowships, and paid part-time positions in St. Paul.
FCNL is the largest social justice lobby in the country, and the oldest registered faith-based lobby on Capitol Hill. Supported by a grassroots network of tens of thousands of people across the country, they field a team of expert lobbyists to advance peace, justice, economic opportunity, and environmental stewardship.
They also host an annual Spring Lobby Weekend, which invites hundreds of young adults from around the country to D.C. for three days of lobby training and meetings with Capitol Hill staffers.
Register in Handshake to attend.
If you can’t make it to the event but would like to learn more, you are encouraged to email Emmet at firstname.lastname@example.org.
