Macalester is honored to host Gary Snyder as this year’s speaker. Author of 20 books of poetry and prose, Zen Buddhist, environmentalist activist, winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, the Ruth Lilly & Bollingen Prize for Poetry, the John Hay Award for Nature Writing, and the American Book Award, Gary will be presenting "Minding the Wild: An Evening of Poetry and Discussion."


Free and open to the public, but tickets are required. Tickets are available to the Macalester community (one ticket per student, 2 tickets per staff or faculty) and general public (limit two tickets per person) at the Campus Center Information Desk. See for more details.
