Majors and minors in the Humanities are invited to the fourth session of the first thursdays workshop series - focusing on professional & public lives after a Humanities degree. The topic of this session is Fostering a Writing Life led by Professor, and Writer in Residence, Marlon James. A soup supper will be provided. 

How do you establish writing space and ritual beyond the classroom? How do you structure or prepare for a writing life? This session will help you:

• Establish patterns and rituals that will keep you writing

• Foster writing communities outside Mac

• Craft a portfolio

• Build mentoring relationships

• Research MFA programs

• Seek recommendations from faculty
